It does, however, mean that service will be affected on several subway lines this weekend. We’ve got a handy map that will help you figure out what’s going on, but here’s the gist:

  • trains aren’t running at all on Saturday and Sunday. In Manhattan, take the train to Harlem-148 St; in Brooklyn, take the , which will run local from Atlantic Av-Barclays Ctr to New Lots Av.
  • trains aren’t running between E 180 St and 149 St-Grand Concourse on Saturday and Sunday.
  • trains aren’t running between Crescent St and Jamaica Center, and will be replaced by shuttle buses.
  • Downtown and trains are running local in Manhattan.

For more detailed breakdowns, keep on scrolling — we’ve also got travel alternatives for stations that will be closed or skipped.

Another thing to note: Subways will run on a Sunday schedule on Monday, September 5. LIRR will run a weekend schedule on Monday, and Metro-North will run a Sunday schedule on Monday. We're also adding extra trains this weekend to accommodate holiday travelers. Get more details on weekend railroad service.
