Here's how E service will operate
Starting at 11:45 p.m. on September 18 through November 2, here’s how trains will operate:
Weekdays, most trains will make their last stop at Jamaica-Van Wyck. Some trains will terminate at 179 St , making local stops between 71 Av and 179 St, to both prevent congestion at Jamaica-Van Wyck and increase service to nearby stations on the .
During rush hours, trains will run every 8 minutes to each station.
Middays and evenings, they will run every 10-15 minutes.
Weekends, all trains will run to Jamaica-Van Wyck every 12 minutes.

Take the or Long Island Rail Road from Sutphin Blvd-Archer Av and Jamaica Center, or consider starting your subway trip at a nearby station.
Travel alternatives in Queens
Consider starting your trip on the line at stations on nearby Hillside Av and transfer to the at Kew Gardens-Union Tpke. It's about a 10-minute walk from Archer Ave. You can also use local buses to get to the and transfer for free with your MetroCard.

Since Jamaica-Van Wyck will be the last stop on most trains, we will run free shuttle buses between Jamaica-Van Wyck and Jamaica Center, stopping at Sutphin Blvd-Archer Av. Q54 and Q56 buses will also make these stops as part of their normal routes.
On weekdays, shuttle buses will run:
- Every 4 minutes during peak hours (7-9 a.m. and 4-7 p.m.)
- Every 8 minutes during midday
- Every 12 minutes all other times
On weekends, shuttle buses will run:
- Every 12 minutes during AM peak hours, midday, and evening hours
- Every 8 minutes during PM peak hours
You can also take or trains that will continue to stop at Sutphin Blvd-Parsons Av-JFK Airport and Jamaica Center-Parsons/Archer
Travel alternatives to/from Manhattan
Take in Lower Manhattan to Sutphin Blvd-Archer Av or Jamaica Center, or via transfer with the or at Broadway Junction.
Access to JFK AirTrain Jamaica Station is still available via LIRR or . Customers can also take the to/from AirTrain at Howard Beach.
