MTA to Begin Work On Rail, Switch and Signal Replacement At 181 St Station

Trains Between 168 St and Inwood-207 St Will Be Suspended For Select Weekends 

Shuttle Buses Will Make Stops Between 168 St and Inwood-207 St and Between 168 St and 190 St

Trains Will Make Nearby Stops Between 168 St-Washington Hts and 207 St
 

The Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) today announced work will commence on rail, switch, and signal replacements on the line at 181 St resulting in service suspensions on select weekends beginning a 9:45 pm Friday July 15. To accommodate this work, there will be no train service between Inwood-207 St and 168 St from Friday at 9:45 pm to Monday at 5:00 am. 
 
Select weekends include:
• July 15 through July 18
• July 22 through July 25
• September 9 through September 12
• October 15 through October 17
• October 22 through October 24 

Customers are encouraged to utilize shuttle bus service. Broadway shuttle buses will make stops between 168 St and Inwood-207 St. Fort Washington Av shuttle buses will make stops between 168 St and 190 St. Transfers from train to buses will be available at 168 St. Customers can also use the nearby train which will operate on a regular schedule between 168 St-Washington Hts and 207 St.

Twitter – Twitter users can follow @MTA, @NYCTSubway, and @NYCTBus for service updates and customer service support.  
 
WhatsApp – Customers can chat with NYC Transit via WhatsApp. Riders can receive customer service support in their native language through the help of Google Translate. 
 
For those who prefer to contact the MTA by telephone, information is available by dialing 511. Connecticut customers should call 877-690-5114. Those who are deaf or hard of hearing can use their preferred service provider for the free 711 relay to reach the MTA at 511.
